Outback Plains Quilt

With this quilt I tried to encapsulate the warm, rich colours of the outback, and have included some of its more common inhabitants.

The big red kangaroo blends in well with it's
surroundings, as does the emu, who if you
didn't see it move, could be mistaken for
saltbush. There must be billions of ants in the outback, so the echidna generally has a feast.  The frill necked lizard is a bit harder to find in the
rocky outcrops and mountain ranges.

The quilts' overall measurement is 39 inches or
1 metre square.
The four blocks are printed on 10.5  inch or 27cm squares of linen / cotton blend fabric.

The pattern includes the new revolutionary method of sewing triangles accurately.
